The study aims to analyze the readability level of reading texts book
entitled Super Coach Pola Belajar Siswa Mandiri for Senior High School by
Wahyuni Markotim atl the statel Senior High Schooll 3 Muaro lJambi. Thel researchl
method usedl is qualitativel research. Thel data collectionl techniques usedl in thisl
research werel observation andl interview. Thel researcher usedl Taylor and Klare’s
ltheory. The subjectl of thisl research was students. The finding of this study showed
thatl there arel seven textsl have thel cloze procedurel score overl 60% andl one textl
under l60%. They arel Powerful typhoon kills 80%, Rubella kills baby in Jambi
89%, The Bekasi River 80%, Number of Foreign 89%, The Indonesian Men’s
Sepak 75%, 17 Million Foreign Tourists Target 70%, Indonesian Weekend 80%
and Miss England Contestant in Hijab l50%. After sol thel judgment lscore isl inl the
Independentl levell andl Instructional llevel. Thel textsl are predictedl tol bel quite leasy;
itl meansl that thel studentsl arel likely tol bel ablel to copel withl thel text lalone. The
researchelr gets thel average scorel ofl 8 readingl textsl isl 73,6% sol itl can bel
concludedl thatl reading textsl ofl Super Coach Pola Belajar Siswa Mandiri arel in
lthe Independent llevel because lthe reading ltexts are readablel and understandablel to
thel ninth gradel students, andl the textsl are predictedl to bel quite leasy. Therefore,
thel researcher takesl a conclusionl that thisl textbook isl not appropriatel to bel used
byl the studentsl at thel ninth lgrade students becausel they canl read theml by theirl
