The Sea Beast is an adventure film about sea monster hunters that was released
on Netflix on July. 8 2022. The film was also released in theaters on June 24, 2022.
The film The Sea Beast is directed by Chris Williams, who co-wrote the screenplay
with Nell Benjamin. The film tells the story of For hundreds of years, sea monsters
have emerged to wreak havoc on humanity. In response, sailors have ventured out on
their ships to hunt the beasts of the sea, the most famous being the crew of "The
Inevitable" led by the legendary Captain Crow, first mate Sarah Sharpe, and her
adopted son Jacob Holland. After they set sail, the crew discovers that an orphan girl
named Maisie Brumble has stowed away on the ship to join them, inspired by her late
parents who died while hunting. After Maisie sets sail, Maisie sees the contrast
between the history she believed in and the reality that sea monsters are not evil
creatures. Sea monsters are actually just one of the creatures that have been
misunderstood by humans. They are not evil and do not want to kill humans, but they
only want to protect themselves and their descendants from the cruelty of humans
who attack them so cruelly and threaten their civilization. The method used in this
study is a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research is a research procedure
that produces descriptive data in the form of words spoken by people or behavior to
be studied. The results of the study in the film "The Sea Beast". Based on the
previous chapter, the results of the study provide answers to research questions, such
as the personality of each character and their influence on the social life of each
character in the film The Sea Beast. The first analysis includes the personalities of
several characters. The second analysis is the impact of character behavior. In
answering these questions, the researcher uses the theory presented in chapter two.
From the analysis of the film The Sea Beast by Chris William, the researcher
concluded that the assumptions described are related to a person's readiness for
something. Someone makes assumptions because they want to know, ask, predict, or
suspect something that will or has happened. An assumption is something that cannot
be ascertained as true. So, assumptions can be made by anyone and about anything
