Self-healing was a self-recovery process that entailed making a deliberate attempt
to overcome physical, mental, or emotional injuries without totally depending on
outside help. The goal of this study was to explain and explore the many forms of
self-healing and self-healing meaning indicators found in the album Laughing in
Insomnia. The self-healing idea was used by Neff (2011) the researcher also used
Ferdinand de Saussure's (1916) theory for the meaning of signs. The kind of
research method is qualitative and employed descriptive techniques. The
documentation technique was used to collect data, and contextual analysis was the
method used in this research. The findings of this research indicated that: (1)
nineteen forms of self-compassion were identified, which were separated into
three categories: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness. (2) The
relationship between the signifier (meaning) and the signified (symbol) was how
self-healing signals were discovered. There were up to fifty-eight meanings in the
lyrics of this record, including self-acceptance, emotional suffering, and the
healing process. The lyrics of Laughing in Insomnia presented a universal story of
self-healing that many listeners could relate to, in addition to reflecting eaJ own
experience.
