Title : The Use of U-Dictionary Application on Students'

Speaking Skill at SMKN 2 Kota Jambi

This study set out to determine if and how using the U-Dictionary app
improved students' spoken communication abilities. The study relied on numerical
data. The study's methodology was quasi-experimental. The sample group consisted
of eleventh-year SMKN 2 Kota Jambi students. 72 students were selected at random
and divided into an experimental group and a control group. Technique of collecting
data students’ speaking test used procedure text material with U-Dictionary
application. The method of data analysis relied on numerical information. The
researcher was looking through the obtained student score data. This is checked both
before and after utilizing the U-Dictionary app. The post-test score of the
experimental group was considerably higher than that of the control group (p
0.000<0.05), as determined by an analysis of gain. The results show that students in
the eleventh grade at SMKN 2 Kota Jambi improved their vocabulary and
pronunciation thanks to utilizing U-Dictionary.
