Title : The Effect of TikTok Videos As Learning Media For Speaking
Skills in Grade Seventh At SMPN 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur
This study was conducted to determine the effect of tiktok videos as learning
media for speaking skills in grade seventh at SMPN 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur.
This research is a quantitative research with quasy experimental design. The
sample size was 40 students, 20 students for the control class and 20 students for
the experimental class. Data collection techniques used by conducting pre tests
and post tests. Based on the analysis that has been done, the effect on student
learning outcomes shows that the average in the control class is in the low
category, and in the experimental class is in the medium category. This can be
seen from the results of the pre test and post test after treatment in the control and
experimental classes. The average pre test value of the experimental class was
49.37 and the post test value was 80.25. While the average pre test value in the
control class was 43.75, and the average post test value was 65.25. This is also
shown in the post-test t test results. Both classes of pre-test and post-test scores
obtained normal and homogeneous data with significance (0.05). The results of
the t-test analysis show that the t-count is 11.882 with a significance of 0.000, the
significance value shows 0.000 <0.05 so that (H1 ) is accepted. Therefore, it can
be concluded that TikTok videos are effective for learning media for speaking
skills in seventh grade students of SMPN 3 Tanjung Jabung Timur.
