In Using LingoDeer At English Education Study Program Of
Uin Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi.

This study aims to explore students' experiences in using the LingoDeer application
in English language learning in the English Education Study Program, UIN Sulthan
Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. This study uses a qualitative approach involving five
second-semester students who actively use LingoDeer. Data were collected through
in-depth interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of students' learning
experiences. The results show that LingoDeer is effective in increasing self-directed
learning motivation and vocabulary retention through its gamification features,
visual display, and engaging review system. However, the application has
limitations in developing productive language skills (speaking and writing) and is
not yet fully aligned with the formal curriculum on campus. It is concluded that
LingoDeer functions as an additional learning tool that supports the improvement
of students' passive language skills.
