Title : Analysis of English midterm exam questions for
Eleventh grade student at SMA 7 JAMBI
The aim of this research is to analyze the face validity and content validity
of English language questions created by teachers to be tested in class XI SMA 7
JAMBI. This research is a qualitative research. This research data is an analysis
of the face validity and content validity of the questions. The data source for this
research was taken from the question sheets tested in class XI SMA 7 JAMBI.
From the findings of this research, face validity is good. This is because
the test meets it all from face validity. In terms of face validity, this covers 76%
of the face validity criteria. This percentage is included in the level of 76% -
100%, which means it is quite adequate. Then, from the content validity of the
test questions, the 5 essay questions that have been tested have been declared as
valid items. So the English mid-semester exam is for eleventh grade students at
SMA 7 JAMBI. It is considered a valid test because face validity and content
validity are all valid.
