Title :The Students’ Problems in Speaking at Mts
Nurussa’adah Teluk Rendah Tebo Ilir
This research described Students’ Problem in Speaking, so the descriptive
qualitative was the research method for this research. The researcher used case
study research in which the writer collected the data, analyzed them, and made
conclusion. This research focused on a certain phenomenon in MTs Nurussa’adah
Teluk Rendah Tebo Ilir environment about the students’ problem in speaking. In
decided the participants of this research, the researcher used purposive sampling.
The participants of this research was the eight grade student. The data source here
was the subject from which the data obtained, through observation and interviews
with participants. Based on preliminary observations and the students’ score from
their teacher, researchers found that MTs Nurussa'adah students indicated having
problems in speaking in English. The observation showed, the students had problem
in speaking English. They hard to convey their idea in English and always used
their first language to speak. Based on the interview, the researcher found, the
students had many problems in speaking English. Those were in Linguistic factors
or factors related to language like, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. The
students also had problem in linguistics or non-linguistics factor such as the
student’s problem, motivation and people around students do not speak English.
