Title :Teacher’s Strategies In Teaching Reading Comprehension
For Eleven Grade Students At State Senior High School 3
Muaro Jambi

The aim of this research was to find out the strategies that teacher used in
teaching reading skills at SMAN 3 Muaro Jambi. Itwasqualitative researchwith
case study design that describe the phenomenon of teaching reading at SMAN 3
Muaro Jambi.The participant in this research is one of the English teachers at
SMAN 3 Muaro JambiThe subject of this research was an English teacher. The
data were collected through observation and interview.
. The results of this research showed that in teaching reading skill,the
teacher usedstrategi berdiferiensasi where she involved the students in
determining learning methods and choosing learning media. In addition, the
English teacher at SMAN 3 Muaro Jambi used speakers, projector, laptops and
worksheet as media in the process of teaching reading comprehension.
