Tittle : The Effect of Brainstorming Strategy on Students’ Writing at

Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium
The aim of this research is to find out The Effect of Brainstorming Strategy
on Students’ Writing at Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium. This research was
quantitative research and it was conducted by using pre-experimental design. The
result of this research shows that there was significant effect on students’ writing

after being taught through Brainstorming Strategy. This could be seen from the T-
test result which showed that the students the mean score of pre-test in experiment

class brainstorming strategy was 37.28 that their on pre-test the main = 51.93. The
value t of -4.840 and df 28 were obtained from paired t-test analysis. Thus, the null
hypothesis was rejected (Ho1

) and then alternative hypothesis is not rejected (H1)
because there was a significant difference among pre-test and post-test in
experimental class but the effect is negative. It means that there was negative effect
but there was significant difference among pre-test and post-test in experimental
class brainstorming strategy on Students’ writing.
