Title: Students’ perception towards the use of Quizizz in learning English at
SMPN 11 Kota Jambi

This study aims to determine the perceptions of students at SMPN 11 Kota
Jambi regarding the use of the Quizizz application in learning English. The
background of this study is based on the need for interactive learning media that
can increase student motivation to learn. The research method used was quantitative
descriptive with an instrument in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire given to
90 eighth and ninth grade students, then analyzed using descriptive percentages.
The results showed that in general, students had a positive perception of the use of
Quizizz, with an average percentage of 81% in the “very good” category. Most
students considered Quizizz easy to use, enjoyable, and able to increase their
motivation, concentration, and involvement in learning English. In addition,
Quizizz was considered useful in helping students review material and reduce
anxiety about tests, although there were still obstacles such as internet connection
problems, device limitations, and boredom due to the repetitive quiz format. Based
on these findings, it can be concluded that Quizizz not only functions as an
evaluation tool but also as an effective interactive learning media to learning
English. Therefore, integrating Quizizz with more varied learning strategies is
highly recommended to optimize learning outcomes.
