Title : Students’ Perception on the use of Youtube Video in Listening Skill at Eight Grade Students of MTs Laboratorium Uin Sulthan Thaha Saiffuddin Jambi
This research explores students' perceptions on the use of Youtube video in Listening Skill. the research aims to know students' perceptions of the use YouTube videos of listening skill at MTs Laboratorium UIN Sultan Thaha Saiffuddin Jambi, especially for eight grade students for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research design used a qualitative approach. Research data ware obtained through interviews and documentation. The results of this research were divided into several points. The first point was that using youtube video for listening skill helped students find various sources of material in their learning process. The next point was that youtube video could improve English language skills simply by watching videos on youtube. YouTube were the applications they used most for learning English. However, the research results also showed that there were several challenges and weaknesses of youtube, such as connectivity issues, content, and information that made students careless and distracted from learning purposes. Based on these results, it was concluded that students had positive perceptions about the use of youtube video of listening skill.
