This study aims to determine the Role of the Jambi Cerdas Community Reading
Park (TBM) in Improving Community Skills in Pal Merah District, Jambi City. To
determine the obstacles faced by the Jambi Cerdas Community Reading Park in
improving community skills in Pal Merah District, Jambi City. And to find out how
to overcome the obstacles faced by the Jambi Cerdas Community Reading Park in
improving community skills in Pal Merah City, Jambi City. The type of research
used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are

observation, interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted in a semi-
unstructured manner and involved 5 informants consisting of 1 manager and 4 from

the Kampung Shalawat Rukun Tetangga (RT) 22 community which were obtained
using the Purposive Sampling technique. For data analysis techniques, Data
Reduction, Data Presentation and Conclusion Drawing were used. For data validity,
data triangulation techniques were used. The results of this study indicate that the

Skills in Pal Merah District, Jambi City includes: first, increasing knowledge
through the Community Reading Park program. Second, improving skills by
providing training to the community. Third, providing various facilities for the
community which include providing collections, providing equipment to carry out
activities in the process of managing catfish and planting vegetables without soil
media or called hydroponic
