Title : Students’ Perception on The Use of Wordwall As A Media
in Learning English Vocabulary at MTs N 4 Muaro Jambi

This study aims to determine and observe students' perceptions of the use of
wordwall as a medium in learning English vocabulary at MTs N 4 Muaro Jambi.
This research uses qualitative methods in the form of quota sampling. This method
is considered an appropriate approach as one type of research. Data collection was
carried out by observing and interviewing several students who had according to
predetermined criteria. The participants taken were class VIII students, totaling 10
people. The interviews in this study were based on 3 aspects, namely: cognitive,
affective, and conative. The results of this study obtained negative and positive
responses. First, students' negative perceptions included in the affective component,
students expressed their perceptions that they agreed with the wordwall media
applied by the teacher but the school should provide WiFi because they were
overwhelmed if they had to use their own quota. Second, a positive perspective
included in the cognitive component, students expressed their perception that they
agree with the wordwall media that helps them in vocabulary learning. Third, a
positive perspective included in the conative component, students expressed their
perception that they agree with the wordwall media applied by the teacher because
it can arouse their interest in learning and with the wordwall can help them to get
better learning results.
