This study is intended to find out the difficult items of Reading Final Exam Test
On English Subject at Senior High School 4 Tebo In Academic Year 2023/2024.
In quantitative, namely in terms of the level of difficulty, discrimination power,
distractor efficiency, validity and reliability. This study was designed as
descriptive quantitative research, because the data obtained in this study are in
the form of numbers and this study is not to accept or reject the hypothesis, but
rather to explain the existing conditions according to the circumstances of the
items in the final question exam. Data collection techniques used documentation
techniques. Data analysis in the form of item analysis was carried out using the
ANATES V4. program. After analyzing the data the researcher found 40
multiple-choice Final School Exam Items On English Subject At Senior High
School 4 Tebo In Academic Year 2023/2024 were reviewed from: a). The level
of difficulty was 3 items (7.5%) difficult, 34 items (85%) moderately, 3 items
(7,5%) easy. b). The discrimination power was 8 items (20%) very poor, 10 items
(25%) poor, 11 items (27.5%) satisfactory, 7 items (17,5%) good, and 4 items
(10%) excelent. c) The distractor efficiency was 4 item (10%) very good, 8 items
(20%) good, 14 items (35%) average, 12 items (30%) poor, and 2 items (5%) very
poor. The validity of the item in the valid category reached 32,5% (13 items) and
the test reliability of the item had a reliability index of 0.37, which is in the low
category. The research results showed that all the questions had poor criteria
based on the results of the test reliability index of 0.37 which is in the low
category so the questions couldn‟t be used again.
