This research discussed Carol’s Depression that occurs in the The Walking Dead
sereies. That's why the researchers gave the title of this study "Carol’s Depression
in The Series of The Walking Dead ". Depression is a common but serious illness,
and most who experience it need treatment to get better. Everyone occasionally
feels blue or sad, but these feelings are usually fleeting and pass within a couple
of days. When a person has a depressive disorder, it interferes with daily life,
normal functioning, and causes pain for both the person with the disorder and
those who care about him or her. The purpose of this research are 1)To explore the
causes of depression experienced by Carol in The Walking Dead. 2) To explore
the symptom of depression experienced by Carol in The Walking Dead. The
researcher used a descriptive qualitative design by referred to the theories of
Chatuverdi (2021) to answer the problem formulated. The approach used in this
research is psychology Approach. In collecting data, researcher uses techniques
documentation. The technique used in analyzing the data in this study is
descriptive technique. The results of this study are: First, there is one cause of
depression potrayed in The Walking Dead series; Life Event. Second, The
Symptoms of depression are Affective and mood Symptoms, Biological
Symptoms, Psychotic Symptoms.
