Title : A Comparative Study of Extrovert and Introvert Student in

Vocabulary Mastery at MAS Mamba’ul Ulum

This study seeks to explore the differences in vocabulary mastery between extroverted
and introverted students at MAS Mamba'ul Ulum Jambi. It employs a quantitative
approach using a non-experimental research design. A total of 26 students were
selected as the sample using a purposive sampling technique. To gather the data, the
researcher administered a questionnaire to determine which participants were
extroverted or introverted. The questionnaire contained 24 questions based on
indicators of extroversion and introversion, with questions adapted from the Eysenck
Personality Inventory. The researcher analyzed the data using a Paired Sample T-test
with SPSS version 23.00. The results indicated that the alternative hypothesis was
accepted. According to the data collected, the t-value for vocabulary mastery is 6.458,
with 11 degrees of freedom and a p-value of 0.000. Based on these degrees of freedom,
it can be seen that the t-table is 1.796, in accordance with the hypothesis testing criteria.
H0 is accepted if t-count > t-table and p value (0.000) < a (0.05), Therefore, no
significant difference was found in vocabulary mastery between extroverted and
introverted students.Based on the data above, Ha is accepted, because t-count (6.458)
> t-table (1.796) and p-value (0.000) < a (0.05), As a result, a significant difference
was found in vocabulary mastery between extroverted and introverted students.
