This study aim to find out the boderline disorder that faced by the character
named Shopie revealed by the author of the school for good and evil. This
research used qualitative design with descriptive method. In this study, the
researcher used primary data from Soman Chainani novel The School for Good
and Evil. The researcher gathered certain words or sentences from the novel The
School for Good and Evil to be utilized as data in this study. In this study, the
researcher utilized documentation techniques and descriptive analysis to describe
and evaluate data obtained. The findings in this research showed that the character
of Shopie in school for good and evil was mostly dominant speech
characterization that the author described it the scene in the novel and telling was
how the author described the character show her opinion and feeling frankly in the
word form. Then, the research showed the most symtomps of borderline
personality disorder feel by Shopie was unstable relationships, unclear or shifting
self-image, explosive anger, feeling suspicious or out of touch with reality and
Fear of Abandonment.
