This study analysis about Semiotic Analysis: Socio-Politic Criticism In
The Hunger Game Movie In 2012 Mockingjay Part-1. The aims of this
research are to describe socio-politic criticism sign appeared in The Hunger

Games Movie and to explain the meaning relation of the sign related to socio-
politic criticism in The Hunger Games Movie of semiotic analysis. This

research also used Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis to find the result
of the research. Researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The data of
this research are taken the film of Hunger Games: Mockingjay, part-1. In the
data collection, the researcher used documentation technique. Then, the data
were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. From the results of this research,
the researcher found the sign appeared in the Hunger Games Movie: First,
Mockingjay bird, second fire, third 3-fingers greeting, fourth white Rose &
classification by Finnick, warplanes, and the last sign is the district 13 Nuclear
Room and Bunker which is a sign of inviting all the people of the district to
carry out a district rebellion against President Snow. The relations of the sign
related to socio-politic criticism are uprising plan, government control,
resistance to power, propaganda through television broadcasts, violence as
state policy, social and economic inequalities. It can be interpreted as a social
movement seeking justice for leaders.
