This thesis discusses the Efforts of Pai Teachers in Improving the Discipline of Class VIII A Students (Study of Akidah Akhlak Subjects) at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Daarul Aula Singkut Sarolangun Regency.
The purpose of this study is to determine the Efforts of Pai Teachers in Improving the Discipline of Class VIII A Students (Study of Akidah Akhlak Subjects) in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Daarul Aula Singkut Sarolangun Regency, Methods carried out in the research It is a qualitative method whereas data collection tools include interviews, observation and documentation. This research was conducted at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Daarul Aula Singkut Sarolangun Regency. The informants in this study were Akidah Akhlak teachers and principals, Class VIII A students and were interviewed to obtain the information needed in this study, which the researchers then analyzed to obtain the results of the study .
Based on the results of the analysis obtained by the researchers, it can be seen that the efforts of teachers of Akidah Akhlak subjects in improving the discipline of MTs Daarul Aula Singkut students are: (1) collaborating with the teacher council to coordinate students who do not obey the rules, providing punishment for students who are not disciplined as well, rewarding exemplary students, in order to provide appreciation for disciplined students. (2) internal factors in the form of lack of student awareness of the importance of discipline and lack of definite understanding of the meaning of discipline, and external in the form of influences from the family and community environment. (3) The effort used to overcome the problem is to use internal control techniques, which teach that the teacher is a figure or example that will be emulated by students.
