This thesis discusses the fiqh teacher's strategy in motivating students to pray
midday prayers in congregation at Mts Mahaliyah, Jambi City. This research is a
qualitative descriptive study seen from an educational perspective, while data
collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation, and documentation.
Data analysis techniques were obtained through data reduction, data presentation
and data inference. The researcher found that the conditions at Madrasah
Tsanawiyah Private Mahdaliyah Jambi City include the following, But then the
Fiqh teacher provides motivation to the students, namely through: The Fiqh teacher
gives praise, additional grades, and punishments, and the teacher instills student
awareness about the importance of performing the Dhuhr prayer in congregation,
and the Fiqh teacher becomes a good example for students. And supported by the
head of the madrasah with policies implemented in schools, so that the results can
motivate students to pray zuhur
