Title : The Effect of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) Integrated with an
English Conversation Application on Seventh Grade Students’ Speaking
Skills at Mts N 03 Muaro Jambi

This study aimed to examine the effect of Project-Based Learning
(PjBL) integrated with an English Conversation Application on students’
speaking skills at MTsN 03 Muaro Jambi. This research employed a
quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups,
namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class
received treatment using Project-Based Learning integrated with an English
Conversation Application, while the control class was taught using
conventional teaching methods. The data were collected through pre-test and

post-test in the form of speaking tests. The data were analyzed using a non-
parametric test because the data were not normally distributed. The results

showed that the significance value was less than 0.05, indicating that there
was a significant effect of using Project-Based Learning integrated with an
English Conversation Application on students’ speaking skills. In addition,
there was a significant difference between the experimental and control
classes, where the mean score of the experimental class (78.86) was higher
than that of the control class (63.86). Based on these findings, it can be
concluded that Project-Based Learning integrated with an English
Conversation Application is effective in enhancing students’ speaking skills.
