Title
: STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION ON THE USE OF DUOLINGO TO IMPROVE MOTIVATION IN LEARNING ENGLISH
AT MTS AL-MUNAWWARAH
Low motivation and the limited availability of interactive learning media are major challenges in English language learning at MTs Al-Munawwarah Jambi. This study aims to identify students' perceptions of the use of the Duolingo application as a tool to enhance their English learning motivation. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects of this study comprised the entire population of 32 seventh-grade students at MTs Al-Munawwarah Jambi, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire to measure student perceptions, which covered three indicators: ease of use, perceived usefulness, and attitude toward use. The findings indicated that students' overall perception of using Duolingo to enhance learning motivation was categorized as ""Positive,"" with a total percentage of 66%. This positive result was supported by the breakdown of indicators: ease of use (68%), perceived usefulness (62%), and attitude toward use (67%). The conclusion of this study indicates that Duolingo is well-received and is considered an effective and enjoyable learning tool by students. These findings reflect a positive reception towards the integration of technology in the language learning process and demonstrate the potential for Duolingo to be continuously utilized as an interactive and adaptive supplementary learning medium.
